Service & Safety Policies

These policies explain what customers can expect from Renew ATL Surface Cleaning and what is required to help us complete work safely and professionally.

Last updated: September 23, 2026

By approving an estimate, scheduling service, authorizing work, or allowing work to begin, the customer acknowledges the applicable policies below unless different terms are stated in a signed written agreement.

1. Estimates and Scope of Work

Estimates are based on the information and conditions reasonably available when the estimate is prepared. The quoted price generally covers only the areas and services specifically identified in the estimate. Additional work, unusually severe buildup, inaccessible areas, unexpected conditions, or customer-requested changes may require a revised price.

2. Customer Responsibility Before Service

Before our scheduled arrival, customers are responsible for taking reasonable steps to prepare the work area, including:

Renew ATL Surface Cleaning is not responsible for delay, incomplete service, or additional labor caused by areas that were not reasonably prepared or accessible.

3. Pre-Existing Conditions

Pressure washing and exterior cleaning can reveal or worsen pre-existing defects that may not be visible before cleaning. Examples include loose paint, failing sealant, deteriorated mortar, cracked concrete, damaged siding, loose trim, failing caulk, oxidation, rust, weak wood fibers, loose pavers, damaged asphalt, delamination, or improperly installed materials.

Customers should disclose known defects before service. Renew ATL Surface Cleaning is not responsible for failure of materials that were already damaged, loose, deteriorated, improperly installed, improperly maintained, or otherwise unable to withstand normal professional cleaning methods.

4. Stains and Cleaning Limitations

We aim to substantially improve the appearance of cleaned surfaces, but no particular stain-removal result is guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing. Some substances can permanently alter a surface.

Examples include oil, transmission fluid, rust, fertilizer stains, battery acid, paint, gum, efflorescence, oxidation, organic staining, irrigation stains, tire marks, deeply embedded mildew, and discoloration caused by aging or chemical reactions.

A cleaned surface may not return to its original color, and old stains may remain visible even after professional treatment.

5. Concrete, Pavers and Masonry

Concrete naturally varies in age, porosity, curing, aggregate, coloration, and wear. Cleaning may expose existing cracks, repairs, surface defects, previous pressure-wand marks, patching, aggregate differences, or color variations that were previously concealed by dirt.

New concrete should be sufficiently cured before pressure washing. Customers should tell us if concrete, pavers, coatings, sealers, or masonry were recently installed, repaired, painted, stained, or sealed.

6. Painted, Coated, Sealed or Delicate Surfaces

Painted, stained, sealed, coated, aged, oxidized, or delicate surfaces may require lower pressure or specialized treatment. Existing coatings can fail during cleaning if adhesion has deteriorated. Unless Renew ATL specifically agrees in writing to restore or replace a coating, cleaning does not include responsibility for pre-existing coating failure.

7. Water Intrusion

Exterior cleaning uses water under pressure or controlled application. Customers are responsible for ensuring doors, windows, vents, electrical openings, and other building penetrations are properly sealed and maintained. Renew ATL Surface Cleaning will use reasonable professional care but cannot guarantee against water intrusion caused by defective seals, open windows, damaged weather stripping, construction defects, or pre-existing building deficiencies.

8. Electrical and Utility Safety

Customers must identify known electrical hazards, damaged outlets, exposed wiring, faulty fixtures, low-voltage equipment, charging systems, or other utilities near the work area. Renew ATL may decline or stop work when a condition appears unsafe.

9. Plants, Landscaping and Personal Property

We use reasonable care around normal landscaping and property. Customers should move or identify unusually sensitive plants, decorations, fabrics, outdoor electronics, art, vehicles, and other valuable or fragile items. Some vegetation can react differently to water, runoff, or cleaning products.

10. Cleaning Products and Environmental Practices

When appropriate, cleaning agents may be used to treat organic growth, grime, or staining. Products are selected and applied according to the work being performed and reasonable safety practices. Customers must notify us before service about sensitive water features, specialty landscaping, animals, drainage restrictions, or site-specific environmental requirements.

11. Safety and Restricted Work Areas

Pressure-washing equipment, hoses, wet surfaces, and cleaning solutions can create temporary hazards. Customers and third parties should remain outside the active work area until service is complete and the area is safe to enter. Do not move, operate, or interfere with our equipment.

Renew ATL Surface Cleaning may stop, postpone, modify, or refuse work when weather, structural conditions, electrical hazards, aggressive animals, unsafe access, traffic, third-party interference, or other conditions create an unreasonable safety risk.

12. Weather and Scheduling

Exterior cleaning is weather-dependent. Rain, lightning, freezing temperatures, high winds, severe heat, water restrictions, or other unsafe conditions may require rescheduling. Weather-related scheduling changes do not constitute failure to perform the service.

13. Access and Authorization

The person approving work represents that they are the property owner, tenant with appropriate authority, property manager, authorized representative, or otherwise have permission to authorize the requested service. The customer is responsible for obtaining HOA, landlord, management, municipal, or other approvals when required.

14. Photos and Documentation

Before-and-after photographs or video may be taken for documentation, estimating, quality-control, safety, training, insurance, or dispute-resolution purposes. Promotional use will avoid intentionally publishing sensitive personal information, and customers may ask that non-essential promotional use be withheld.

15. Payment

Payment is due according to the accepted estimate, invoice, or written agreement. Additional approved work may result in additional charges. Returned payments, chargebacks, collection expenses, or late balances may be handled as permitted by the applicable agreement and law.

16. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible when rescheduling or cancelling. Renew ATL may establish deposits, cancellation fees, minimum service charges, or other scheduling terms for particular jobs when disclosed before booking.

17. Inspection and Concerns

Customers are encouraged to inspect completed work promptly. Any concern about the service or alleged property damage should be reported as soon as reasonably possible and, when practical, before others alter or repair the area. This gives Renew ATL an opportunity to inspect the condition and evaluate an appropriate response.

18. Damage Claims

Renew ATL Surface Cleaning will evaluate claims involving damage allegedly caused by our work. We are not responsible for ordinary wear, pre-existing damage, concealed defects, defective construction, improper installation, material deterioration, or conditions outside our reasonable control.

Customers should preserve the affected condition and provide reasonable access for inspection before arranging non-emergency repairs when a claim is made.

19. No Guarantee of Permanent Results

Exterior surfaces are continually exposed to traffic, weather, moisture, vegetation, pollutants, irrigation, vehicles, and environmental conditions. Cleaning results are not permanent, and Renew ATL does not guarantee that algae, mildew, dirt, stains, or other buildup will not return after service.

20. Limitation of Responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Renew ATL Surface Cleaning is responsible only for direct damage proven to have been caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care while performing the agreed service. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, speculative, or consequential losses arising from circumstances outside the agreed scope of work.

Nothing in these policies is intended to waive rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

21. Changes and Job-Specific Agreements

These general policies may be supplemented or replaced by terms in a written estimate, service agreement, commercial contract, HOA agreement, or other job-specific document. When a signed written agreement directly conflicts with these general policies, the signed agreement controls for that job to the extent permitted by law.
